OUR PROJECT IN AFRICA
Dr. Musa Muhammad Tanko, a Nigerian plasma physicist and meteorologist, spearheaded the launch of the ClimatEducate Project in Africa on July 10, 2016. As a member of the project's Committee for Information and Research, his leadership was instrumental in getting things started. The African regional hub opened its doors to online volunteers, attracting dedicated individuals from Nigeria, Sudan, Sierra Leone, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Ghana, and Rwanda. This regional hub functions under the umbrella of the Alpha Team Organization, sharing its mission and vision for climate action, youth empowerment, and community mobilization.
These goals are achieved through the project's Non-Online Initiatives (NOIs), which involve direct community outreach. Currently, Rev. Masango Roderick Warakula of Zimbabwe leads the ClimatEducate Project in Africa. Last updated: 17 March 2024
